Decoquinate is an antiprotozoal used  in  veterinary practice for  the  treatment  and  prophylaxis of cocddiosis  in  calves and  lambs,  and  for prophylaxis of cocddiosis  in  chickens.  It is  also used for prevention of abortions due to toxoplasmosis in  sheep. It is a feed additive used in veterinary medicine, and its specifications are defined by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP).
